*This open call has been renewed with a new projectperiod*
Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium invites artists of all backgrounds and experience levels to participate in the 2026 sessions of the Flux Project. This collaboration between NTL and Be Flat (Belgium) explores artistic outreach in public and non-traditional spaces through peer sharing, interventions, and showings.
Program Overview
The sessions run from August 17-23, 2026, blending knowledge exchange, public actions, and presentations.
- Aug 17-22: Shared Flux – A one week exchange between artists from different countries and different artistic practices led by Ward Mortier from Be Flat. The shared flux focusses on tools for site-responsive artistic propositions in public space. By peer-to-peer sharing we get in touch with the practice of the participants. As a group we will do practical research on how to co-create with local communities.
The participants are challenged to create within uncommon spaces, reaching out to a wide variety of audiences.
Key-questions during this week are:
“How stepping out of the norm is an act of resistance?”
“How to engage local communities when creating art in public space?”
“Can we make art in public space that isn’t provocative ?”
- Aug 17-19 held at NTL in Holstebro.
- Aug 20-22 held at KulturMødet Mors Festival in Nykøbing Mors.
- Aug 23: Evaluation and project wrap-up
- Arrival Aug 16/departure Aug 24
The Flux Project emphasizes international collaboration, co-creation, and community engagement in urban environments.
