Danseforestillingen The Hollow Land er en kunstnerisk respons på krigens ødelæggelse af både mennesker, samfund og natur med udgangspunkt i destruktionen af Kakhovka-dæmningen i det sydlige Ukraine. I en tid præget af klimakrise og krig stiller værket spørgsmålet: Hvor langt rækker konsekvenserne, når naturen ikke kender nogen grænser?

The Hollow Land er det andet værk af den dansk-baserede ukrainske koreograf Anastasiia Krasnoshchoka, som arbejder med temaer som frihed, modstand og krigs konsekvenser i et bredere perspektiv. Hendes første værk, Flowers Also Cry, spiller for tredje sæson i Danmark og Nordeuropa og modtog den europæiske Charlemagne Youth Prize i 2024.

The dance performance The Hollow Land is an artistic response to war’s destruction of both people and nature, rooted in the collapse of the Kakhovka Dam in the South of Ukraine. In a time of climate crisis and war, the work asks: how far do the consequences reach, when nature knows no borders?

The Hollow Land is the second work by Ukrainian, Danish-based, choreographer Anastasiia Krasnoshchoka. Her practice engages with themes of freedom, resistance, and the broader consequences of war. Her debut work, Flowers Also Cry, is currently in its third season of touring Denmark and Northern Europe and received the European Charlemagne Youth Prize in 2024.
